United Methodist Men

Both Mineral UMC and Mt. Pleasant UMC have a very active UMM groups. Meetings are held at the church(s) or a local restaurant usually on the first Saturday of each month. This group encompasses men of all ages who perform various projects for our community as well as for the church and those church members who are unable to physically accomplish some household activities. We support many local national and international charities.

During the past two months the Methodist Men have bought $750 worth of groceries for the Louisa Food Cupboard, have helped deliver gift boxes of groceries to Epworth Manor residents, and have also given fruit and candy gift bags to the Epworth residents. The men delivered several loads of firewood to families in need and hosted an all-church Sunday breakfast. They cleaned up leaves at Pastor Terri’s, and a couple of gremlins from the UMM sealed Alice Barton’s back deck, and another gremlin cleared snow at Pastor Terri’s.

Our January meeting will be January 9^th, and we will meet the following month on February 6^th. Hope to see all you men there!
